Sample Class: Beginning Japanese

Beginning (First Year) Japanese at Macalester provides a solid foundation in four basic skills of modern Japanese: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students will not only learn all the basic grammatical structures and various conversational situations but also gain perspective into a culture which continues to influence style, entertainment and technology around the globe.

To increase opportunities for interaction, this sample class will be conducted as a Zoom meeting; we welcome you to have your camera on if you are comfortable. Please note that sample classes will *not* be recorded.
